Tour Itinerary

Calicut

Day 01 :

Arrive Calicut airport/ railway station, you will be met and transferred to the resort/hotel. Later in the day visit Kozhikode beach; see the old lighthouse and crumbling piers, each more than a hundred years old. Visit the nearby Kappad Beach, where Vasco Da Gama landed in 1498 and opened the first sea route from Europe to India. You may also visit the Lions Park and the Marine water aquarium on your own. Rest of the day is free on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Calicut.

Day 02 :

Proceed on a scenic journey to Kannur (100 km/03 hrs), enroute visit Muzhuppilangad Drive-in Beach, one of the longest beach in Asia that permits vehicles. Continue to Kannur, a coastal city that was once an ancient trading port. Overnight at your hotel in Kannur.

Day 03 :

This morning, drive to Bekal (75 km / 03 hours), a small town in North Kerala. On arrival admire the 17th Century Bekal Fort, spread over a massive forty acres and build by the medieval King Ikkeri Naikan. Visit the beach and unwind on the splendid sandy shores. Overnight at your hotel in Bekal.

Day 04 :

Today, let us unveil the natural wonders at Kerala's Green Paradise; proceed to Wayanad (185 km / 05 hours). Visit the Banasura dam, where you may avail of the optional boating facilities, Later continue to Kuruvadweep, an uninhabited island of evergreen forests, home to rare birds, orchids and herbs. Overnight stay at your hotel in Wayanad.

Day 05 :

Enjoy a full day sightseeing at Wayanad, explore the Edakkal caves, known for their artistic carvings dating back to pre-historic times. The carvings represent human and animal figures and objects of human use. This indicate the presence of a civilized human population much before recorded history. Visit the Muthanga wild life sanctuary, which is the largest wildlife sanctuary in the Malabar region. Overnight at your hotel in Wayand.

Day 06 :

Today is yet another day to explore Wayanad, drive to the spectacular 'Soochippara Waterfalls', a three tier waterfall situated in the dense forest. See the Chembra peak which towers 2100 meters above sea level. Visit 'Pookottu Lake', a perennial fresh water lake in the evergreen mountains and conclude your sightseeing tour with a visit to Vythiri, an absolutely stunning location set amidst the dense forests in Wayanad's high ranges. Overnight stay at your hotel in Wayanad. Overnight at your hotel in Kovalam.

Day 07 :

Take a picturesque drive to Kozhikode (85 km / 02.30 hours), experience the thrill of the journey as you navigate the winding Wayanad Churam (mountain pass). Enroute, visit the mysterious 'Chain Tree'. On arrival in Calicut, you have time at leisure to relax or go shopping at the famous Mithai Theruvu. Overnight at your hotel in Calicut.

Day 08 :

Check out of the hotel and later you will be transferred by road to the airport/railway station for your return/ onward journey.
