Tour Itinerary

Srinagar

Day 01 :

Arrive Srinagar - the largest city and the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Srinagar lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus, and Dal and Anchar lakes. Later in the evening, visit Dal Lake. Dal is the heart of Srinagar. The magnificent lake will take your breath away and the mountains surrounding the lake just add charm to the place. Later enjoy a Shikara ride (time permitting) on Dal Lake to see a number of amazing things that will strike your vision. Overnight at your hotel in Srinagar.

Day 02 :

Today enjoy the day exploring Srinagar. Proceed on a sightseeing tour of the beautiful Mughal Gardens including Chashma Shahi Garden, Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh. Visit Jama Masjid, the biggest mosque in Kashmir Valley. Hari Parbat, a hill overlooking Srinagar. Also, visit Shankaracharya Temple situated on top of the Shankaracharya Hill dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight at your hotel in Srinagar.

Day 03 :

Today morning drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg. Enjoy the famous Gondola Ride - Asia's largest and highest cable car project. It’s a two-stage ropeway. The first stage transfers from Gulmarg to Kongdoori Station. The second stage takes skiers to a height of 3,747 m (12,293 ft). It is highly dependent upon the weather at both stages. Visit Khilanmarg a beautiful meadow that can be reached from 1st stage of gondola ride. Later enjoy a Pony ride (on your own) or walk around to explore the beauty of the town on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Srinagar.

Day 04 :

Today proceed to Pahalgam (100 kms /04 hours), enroute visit the Martand Sun Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Surya and built during the 8th century. Martand is another Sanskrit synonym for Surya. Rest of the day is free at leisure on your own or you can explore the area on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 05 :

Enjoy the day visiting interesting sightseeing spots in and around Phalgam starting with Baisaran, famous as mini Switzerland in Kashmir. Tulian Lake, which assumes the shape of number 8 since it is split by a narrow inlet that connects the water source. The lake often has chunks of ice floating in it. Chandanwari is a must visit place in Pahalgam. I has some snow covered valleys and a river flowing across it. Here you can find snow even during summers. Betaab valley - The valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab. Later visit The Aru valley noted for its scenic meadows and is popular for its peaceful environment and scenic beauty. Overnight at your hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 06 :

Today proceed to Katra (254 kms /09 hours) a base point to visit renowned Vaishnodevi Pilgrimage, one of the most revered and visited temples in India. Overnight at your hotel in Katra.

Day 07 :

Early morning starts for Vaishnodevi climb (Total 13 kms walk to the temple that takes about 4-5 hours). We recommend enroute stopover for darshan at Adhkwari Temple and Baba Bhaironath Temple. During summer and peak travel season, it may be advisable to start the climb the previous evening. During season Yatra Parchi (entry tickets required to begin the uphill walk), it is better to purchase the tickets in advance to avoid time delay. Guests looking for Helidarshan (Helicopter ride darshan, and back at additional cost), morning flights are recommended for best weather and least uncertainty. Return to Katra by late evening. Overnight at your hotel in Katra.

Check out of the hotel and later you will be transferred for your onward travel.
